If Windows SmartScreen or your antivirus flags the installer, allow the scan to finish. You can also right-click the file → Properties → Unblock before running.

Network recommendations for live quizzes

Tips we recommend for a stable connection between the presenter PC and player phones — not strict requirements.

  • Connect the presenter PC with Ethernet. We strongly recommend a wired network cable for the quiz host. Every team connects through the presenter’s Wi‑Fi hotspot, so the host machine needs a reliable, low-latency connection.
  • Use a strong Wi‑Fi network for players. If you run the quiz over Wi‑Fi, use a solid router and a clear channel. Avoid crowded guest networks in pubs and venues.
  • Create a dedicated “QuizBrothers” Wi‑Fi without internet. The best setup is a separate network just for the quiz night. No internet access helps prevent cheating, and the bandwidth stays focused on live quiz communication.
  • Player apps are pre-configured for QuizBrothers. Android and iOS apps look for a Wi‑Fi network named QuizBrothers, so teams usually do not need to change Wi‑Fi settings on their first visit.
